Zapit Media MoverZapit Media Mover allows quick and easy moving of pictures and video from cameras, flash memory, USB drives, local hard drives and more without the hassle of manually moving the media or using Windows limited built in program. Complete Windows Explorer integration. Advanced features like the ability to reverse a move task or copy task that you didn't actually want. Full renaming control. In place renaming capabilities. This is an absolute must have for anyone that works with digital pictures or video. Zapit Media Mover is a 'Media Mover' program, it isn't a Media Manager program. The core functionality is when taking pictures from a flash memory card or from a camera and you need to put it on your computer most people either use the built in interface Microsoft provides or one that their camera provides. Back with Windows XP, Microsoft's version had an OK interface and it showed little pictures that you could select/unselect and then specify a folder and a tag name that all of the pictures got labeled with as they were moved off of the camera. When Windows Vista and Windows 7 came out, Microsoft's new interface took a turn for the worst. They stopped showing snapshots of the pictures and they forced the user to move ALL of the pictures whether they liked to or not. Well for most of us, we don't take a set of pictures and immediately move them to the folder you want. Instead there are usually many different events on the camera/media and most people want to move them and tag them according to their perspective events. So camping pictures would go to Camping and Wedding pictures would go to Family (or something). Zapit puts this control (and more) back into the users hands. Of course you can use Zapit to move pictures from any source to any destination and even do in place relabeling. So previously moved pictures that have labels such as 20100901-001.jpg can now be easily relabeled in groups like "Lake Chalan Camping 2010-09-01 001.jpg" which makes it very easy to do searches for.
